Fundraising Brackets

True to Phi Mu brings collegiate and alumnae chapters together to make an impact on our sisterhood. Chapters are organized into six brackets to make competition and recognition fair across different types and sizes of chapters.

The Carnation, Truth, Honor and Love brackets are for open collegiate chapters, organized by chapter size. The Quatrefoil bracket for alumnae chapters, while the Sir Fidel bracket gives donors an opportunity to honor the legacy of chapters that have closed.

No matter your connection to Phi Mu, your support helps make a difference. Explore the brackets below to see which chapters are participating and follow the leaderboard throughout the campaign to celebrate their progress.

Resources

Everyone has a role to play in making True to Phi Mu a success. Whether you are a collegiate chapter, alumnae chapter, individual supporter or Chapter Champion, find the information and resources you need to get involved and make an impact.

Collegiate Chapters

As part of Phi Mu Fraternity’s Commitment to Excellence (CTE), all collegiate chapters are required to make a donation to Phi Mu Foundation each year. True to Phi Mu gives your chapter an opportunity to meet that commitment while coming together to make a meaningful impact on Phi Mu sisters. Your chapter has been placed in a fundraising bracket based on chapter size, and each chapter within the bracket has the same fundraising goal.

Chapters have until May 15, 2027, to reach their goal.  There is no penalty for not reaching your goal, but we strongly encourage every chapter to participate and make a gift to Phi Mu Foundation. The Philanthropy Chair will receive the chapter’s goal and work with the Chapter Treasurer to ensure donations are sent to the Phi Mu Foundation.

Chapters will be recognized for their fundraising success, including the Top Contributing Chapter and Top 5 Fundraising Chapters in each bracket.

Alumnae Chapters

Alumnae chapters are invited to participate in True to Phi Mu by fundraising together to support the Phi Mu Foundation.

Alumnae chapters will compete in the Quatrefoil bracket throughout the year and during the Founders Day Chapter Challenge on March 4, 2027, with the goal of rising to the top of the leaderboard.

Donations made on behalf of alumnae chapters will count toward their True to Phi Mu fundraising total through May 15, 2027.

Chapters will be recognized for their fundraising success, including the Top Contributing Chapter and Top 5 Fundraising Chapters in the Quatrefoil bracket.

Individual Members

You do not need to be part of a chapter to be True to Phi Mu. Alumnae, family, and friends can participate by making an individual gift and choosing a collegiate or alumnae chapter to honor.

On Phi Mu Founders Day, March 4, 2027, alumnae and friends will be invited to join the Founders Day Chapter Challenge and celebrate our sisterhood by investing in Phi Mu’s future.

Gifts made on March 4 will count toward the overall fundraising efforts of the collegiate or alumnae chapter selected by the donor, helping chapters move toward the top of their bracket leaderboard.

Chapter Champions

Chapter Champions play a vital role in helping their chosen chapter go above and beyond its True to Phi Mu fundraising goal. By rallying alumnae support, promoting the campaign through outreach and social media, and encouraging greater participation, Chapter Champions help increase their chapter’s overall impact while strengthening the connection between collegiate and alumnae members.

A $2,000 total commitment is required to become a Chapter Champion. The commitment may be fulfilled by one alumna or split among up to four alumnae supporting the same chapter. Chapter Champion commitment and payment must be completed by February 15, 2027.

Chapter Champions receive exclusive recognition and swag, along with resources to help make your fundraising efforts a success. Have questions? Contact Katelyn Curtin at kcurtin@phimufoundation.org.

“Mental health programming is essential for today’s college women because it provides critical support to navigate the unique challenges they face. College life often brings stress from academics, social pressures, and the transition to independence. Mental health programs like Brave Talk offer early intervention and prevention, helping women address issues before they escalate. By equipping them with resources and support, these programs not only improve mental health but also boost academic performance and prepare them for future challenges.”

on how Brave Talk supports our members

“I remember being a collegiate member and thinking what a great concept ‘Sisters Helping Sisters’ was, never once thinking I’d ever apply to ask Phi Mu Foundation for assistance as an alumna member. That all changed when Camp Fire – a 153,000-acre wildfire that was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California’s history – destroyed my family’s home and everything inside. The grant I received from Phi Mu Foundation helped my family and me get back on our feet and take one step closer to rebuilding.”

"This scholarship has opened doors that might have otherwise been much more difficult to walk through. Instead of constantly worrying about how my family will cover educational expenses, I can devote more of my time and energy to learning, growing as a leader, working, and preparing for the career I have always envisioned. My hope is to use my education to build workplaces where people feel valued, respected, and supported. The confidence and encouragement I have received through this scholarship remind me that I have an entire sisterhood cheering me on, and I look forward to paying that generosity forward by helping future Phi Mu women achieve their own goals. Thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart. LIOB is truly a lifelong statement."

FAQ

  • What is True to Phi Mu?

True to Phi Mu is Phi Mu Foundation’s chapter fundraising campaign and the new branding for the Chapter Fundraising Campaign, formerly known as the M3 Campaign, and 18 Hours & 52 Minutes of Giving.

Bringing these two campaigns together under the True to Phi Mu name allows us to focus on one comprehensive effort to build a culture of philanthropy throughout Phi Mu, increase collegiate and alumnae engagement, and create a sustainable path for members and supporters to give back to Phi Mu Foundation.

  • What are chapter goals?

Each collegiate chapter will receive a True to Phi Mu fundraising goal from the Foundation based on the chapter’s average annual Foundation and CMN fundraising contributions and the number of chapter members. Chapters are then organized into brackets to make competition and recognition fair.
